Biography

Mona Witt has been painting since the 1980’s.  She is self-taught with the help of art classes, workshops, art books and exploration.  She continually strives to expand her skills and learn through new challenges. 

Her first love was transparent watercolors but that love has expanded to acrylics and pastels.  The subjects of her art come from her intense interest in gardening, nature, children and travel.  All of her plein-air and in-studio landscapes are inspired by the beautiful places she has been blessed to visit.  Her goal is to share her joyful, memorable feelings of these places with others through her art.

She is a member of the NIA (Northern Indiana Artists) and NIPS (Northern Indiana Pastel Society). 

Her pastels have been accepted and won awards in numerous juried exhibits in South Bend, IN and the surrounding area.
