Check out my new painting just posted in the gallery of new paintings.  It is a different style---an experiment.  Please let me know what you think of the move toward abstract.

It is presently hanging in the Northern Indiana Artists exhibit at the Buchanan Art Center, 117 W. Front Street, Buchanan, Michigan.  The opening reception will be July 8 at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The new and improved version of "Silver Beach in Gold" is presently in the Northern Indiana Pastel Society exhibit at the Studio Art Classes,4609 Grape Rd., Mishawaka, IN.

"Reaching for Heaven" and "Spring Field" are currently in the Michiana Annual Art Competition at the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad St., St. Joseph, MI.

If you have time check them out.  There are lots of talented artists in all of these exhibits.

This the first time I have blogged.  But just wanted everyone to know that the exhibit at the Chicago Cultural Center presented by the Chicago Pastel Painters is a "must see" for lovers of art.  One of my pieces was accepted and I feeled blessed to be in the company of so many exceptionally talented artists.

The exhibit runs until June 13 and is open during the Center's business hours.  The Cultural Center is accross from Millennium Park and the gallery is next to the cafe just inside the Randolph St. entrance.

It's worth a special trip or just stop while your're in Chicago.
